As we've had some discussion about east coast beaches recently, one beach I've walked naked on for a long way was between Mundesley and Overstrand.  I did this some time last year. Earlier in the day, on the way towards Overstrand, there were very few people.  I did get surprised by a couple hiding just around a corner of a lump of mud-slide, but as luck would have they were naked anyway so clearly I wasn't the only one seeking the isolation.

Late afternoon on the way back was busier, so I bottled out and put on the shorts, albeit in view while people were approaching (not much choice tbh).  No one said anything.

I think because it's such a long way between the two beaches and the landslip at Trimingham means you can't get down part way, the middle section is very empty.  It's totally beautiful sand too.

Anyone else been along that beach?  Or similar area?

It’s a beach that G knows well from childhood and we have been there many times over the years.

Sounds good. I’ll have to take a look up there in the springtime.
where do you park/start?

I parked in a layby near trimlingham, but found it impassable so walked along the cliff top to mundesley first.  There was a carpark there too as I recall.  Plenty at the other end too.

This wasn't high season.  I could imagine it getting busy then.  I think it was probably June.

We used to park in Mundesley, G's grandmother lived there, and walk north along the beach. There was also access to the beach at Trimmingham but that may have changed.

Trimingham had a big land slide which took away the path down.  Unless they've reinstated it again as my info is a year old, this meant the middle bit of the beach was very quiet so it's a good thing in my books (as I love walking).

Ah it's had another since I was there.  A big scary looking one in January: https://www.northnorfolknews.co.uk/news/cliff-fall-at-trimingham-leads-to-closed-vale-road-1-6457354

Hopefully by the time summer comes along it'll have stabilised and be passable.

We go to Cromer quite frequently and we know the coast from Cromer to Mundesley quite well.
We’ve found all the beaches along that coast to be fantastic, and we have walked quite a bit of it naked.
You can all ways find a nice quiet area for nude sunbathing even in the height of summer, although you do get the occasional dog walker from time to time, but no one has ever complained about us being naked.

I've never been to the area but we are toying with the idea of North Norfolk for a week or so this year; I've been "exploring" by Google Earth. It would not be high season so I expect plenty of opportunities for nudity - especially as I have a habit of going for a walk/swim early morning, before breakfast, leaving my non-naturist wife in bed.

North Norfolk is magical. Some of the best scenery, walks, towns and villages to be seen anywhere. Naturist or not nobody could fail to enjoy a holiday here.

@Jon Tanner if you are going to North Norfolk (again) I must recommend you go to Holkham beach. After walking through the pine wood from the car park, keep to the left and you will get to the naturist section and enjoy!

Otherwise, in mid Norfolk towards Great Yarmouth, you have the naturist area at Winterton Dunes. Go to Horsey Gap car park and when you get to the beach turn right, and continue walking towards groaners 47 for the beginning of the naturist section.

My wife and I are off to North Norfolk this coming Sunday, staying at West Runton!

Remembered this conversation and wanted to know if there are any further updates as I am very keen to see if it is true about being able to enjoy a lovely naked walk along this section of coast.

The beaches in this area are beautiful to begin with being so sandy but to be able to amble naked between Overstrand and Mundesly dressed by the sun and air would really make my week being so very close by, in the right areas of course!

Any updates and/or confirmations would be very much appreciated and welcomed. I will endeavour to report back accordingly as well! Weather is scheduled to be just ideal next week too!

Thanking you in advance!

Duncan. 😎

I haven't been there this year yet as I live so far from the coast (it's all about 2 hour drive away).  I'd expect it to be busier in school holidays, but even so the middle part of the beach is sufficiently remote that the crowd would thin out pretty quick.

You may need to be careful with tide times though.
