A quick search here drew a blank, so I'm starting a new topic. We're aiming to visit this beach later today. It gets very good reviews on Google, so hoping for the best.
We spent 3 hours at Cobblers this afternoon, very pleasant. 5 minutes walk from bus stop and car park, down a steep rocky path, so not for the unfit. Not a big beach at low tide, and I guess at high tide you would be restricted to the small grassy area above the sand.
Mrs F said as we approached "I bet I'm the only woman" but there were 5 or 6 others, along with 15 - 20 men, all of a wide age range.
4 people were swimming from a boat anchored about 50 yards out. Sheltered, sunny bay, and we saw no sharks....
An unexpected gap in our schedule today made it possible to have another visit to Cobblers Beach this afternoon. Very pleasant atmosphere with a mixed crowd of 50 or so, including about a dozen women. Varying ages, body shapes, etc. Couples of both mixed and same sexes, plus single males. All naked apart from two men, two women, wearing loin coverings ranging from a male g-string to large female pants. Of these, 3 were with nude partners. The solo guy in the tiny g-string was a mystery - why would you?
My guess is he was a textile who wanted an (almost) all over tan and didn't want to use a textile beach or a tanning booth for the purpose.
