One area of Gloucestershire I've yet to explore is the Forest of Dean, surely tailor-made for some naturist rambling. I've several times driven through the area and it looks quite heavily-visited and tourist-orientated, at least along the through roads. Does anyone here know the area enough to recommend somewhere on the forest worth trying out naked (there's bound to be the odd dog walker, just don't want coachloads of schoolchildren coming through the trees!).

A now very old post on NC recommends the Wysis Way, to the far west of the forest but apart from that NCers appear to have had little FoD experience.
