It’s great countryside. I’m out on Corton Down right now, having nearly circumnavigated The Great Ridge. Really must get a group walk sorted here

Went for a walk yesterday evening along the coast path near seaton knowing that there wouldn't be many others about at this time of the day but for some reason bottled it getting dressed when I wasn't sure if someone may be round the corner,  even though ive walked the same path many times,  not sure why

I sometimes get the same feeling,. Wonder whether it's cos I've subconsciously noticed someone I'm not concsiously aware of. Anyway usually go with it no point being stressed.

The trouble with such instincts is that we remember the times it was successful but forget the times it wasn’t.

@pjelec that is fine, one would hope that the instinct was unfounded and that will be the majority of times.

@happywalker I've been very much the same walking around Wendover Woods, holding my shorts in my hand and putting them on at the first noise.
I think it comes from that fear that as a single male walking naked you'll be viewed as something other than a naturist.

@njw64uk If you are putting your shorts on every time you see someone you are right you will not look like a naturist, especially if people see you dashing out of the way to put them on. Far better to use a wrap or just put a bag in front of your bits if you meet someone, that way you can just continue walking normally and people are more likely to think you are a naturist.

Or just keep walking as normal not covering up and you will soon realise the majority of people couldn't care less and you can go about your business as will they.  I passed about 20 people walking around monknash and the coastal path today covered 6 miles, no negative comments at all

I bumped into a lad yesterday on the hills. One of 350 people who are walking overland from coast to coast. From tarbet to montrose

@hillwalker No sight of his 349 companions?

Smooth again, stayed hairy for as long as I could.
