Hey beautiful people!.. I am extremely excited about Nudefest this year and would like to get a Day Pass (..still available, as I write this) for the final day: Jul 11 (Sun).

Experiences are better shared -- I'd hate to go on my own. Very keen to meet up with other singles/strangers/couples or 'any' for a laugh and a boogie!

Let me know if you are brave enough! -- and we can plan!

It will be an amazing adventure in our lives 🙂

Malc

Perhaps a miss this year is the wisest thing to do? We are still in lockdown re: family gatherings, mass entertainment events are curtailed, there are numerous issues with folks not wearing masks, and social distancing is being forgotten. Budafield 2021 has a web site full of advice and info. re: precautions against the virus. Nudefest has nothing whatsoever.

I guess that we were all hoping that the 21st June was the end to restrictions. With that in mind I doubt that the organisers would have gold plated things just to restrict the unrestricted.

Now however............... looks as though a rethink may be in order. Hindsight is such an exact science!

As regards events happening or not, I understand that a couple of weeks back the South of England Show, the big agricultural and rural event, went ahead and was, as usual, rammed with folk. Whether that was officially sanctioned as allowable I have no idea, but if something like that can go ahead then I'd have thought something like Nudefest is small beer by comparison. Or perhaps it's the small events that are easy to intimidate and the big ones are big enough to continue.

It begs the question as to exactly how much longer we have to live like this, especially when the above 'rules' are completely ignored by a certain group of influential people in Cornwall.

12 million people waiting for treatment is also a slight concern. There is a point where we must get on with life, rather than obsess about one thing that has a detrimental effect on everything that makes life worth living in the first place.

At present in Scotland there are 128 people in hospital with symptoms of Covid. There are 279 hospitals in Scotland, so that’s less than half a person per hospital. Given the number of people waiting for treatment for everything from cancer to surgeries etc and the fact that the rate of infection for practically every other infectious disease that normally hospitalises people has dropped to tiny levels (this winter hardly anyone ended up in hospital with seasonal flu compared to normal years) if hospitals are at breaking point you’ve really got to ask why.

certainly we should be returning to something closer to normal.

Average life expectancy in the UK is over 80 years. Frankly, my life has hardly changed in the last 15 months or so. In many respects , the quality of my  life has improved. Personally, I am happy for restrictions to continue until Covid is fully under control (another 3-5 years). I also think that some inconvenience is very much better than death and incapacity.

Freedom is worth more than anything. I have held the hand of my dying father who would have fought to his last breath to preserve our way of life and freedoms from power mad politicians who clearly think the 'restrictions' are just for us. This neurosis over one mild virus amongst trillions of others is beyond ridiculous. So is the idea you can 'control' it.

How very selfish to want something to continue if it has had no adverse affect on yourself, but it is having serious effects on many millions of people in different ways. Including death from other causes.

We cannot and should not cancel our way of life to stop a minority of people going to hospital. If hospitals cannot cope, then ask why capacity has decreased by half since 1987.

My quality of life consists of work. I am able to go to work and mix with people there. As I have done for 15 months. Not much else.

Admin     Can we get back on topic please
