There is a petition at http://chng.it/GL6K2gLMR9 against actions which have taken place contrary to the unconstrained naturist use of this important naturist beach.
A few more signatures from actual or potential holidaymakers would help.

I visied Costa Natura beach just over two years ago. It was small enough then and likely to come under attack from the adjacent development of up-market flats. Such a pity if it is being reduced still further.
Whilst naturism may be legal on most Spanish beaches, it is rare in practice and the degradation of this location for naturist activity on what is after all a very small section of the beach down from Estepona will be a major loss.
Not sure how much weight will come from a US signature, but we signed. C is already leery of visiting Spain due to the mistreatment of Galgos (Greyhound mixed breed hunting dogs) as well as the history of bullfighting. Areas without nude beaches will have zero chance of us visiting.

There’s always a silver lining ……. there’s nothing to stop anyone from doing their daily walk to the little river and back, it hasn’t ‘shortened’ the beach at all in that respect. You never know, it might create some converts - and - the space where they’ve built the restaurant means that there's no longer the nuisance of the local meerkats who used to frequent that area for as long as we remember. Just saying.
However if you’d like to join in the more direct action that Costa folk are doing then join in adding more naturist comments to the Nido Restaurant Facebook page!
As a resident of Catalonia I am sorry to hear of this intrusion onto the famous naturist beach of Estepona. I have signed the petition in the hope that not only it will succeed but maybe as a result that it will then influence others who may be thinking of doing the same on not only Spain's beaches but worldwide.

My attitude is that all they need to do is make the café and sunbeds naturist friendly and then nothing much will have changed.
I found the idea of having textile sunbeds on a naturist beach totally weird.

@gwalterj ….. but do you also find the idea of textiles and naturists peacefully co-habiting a beach in Portugal equally weird? Just asking. 😀

@johnadmin I have no problem with cohabiting, it's the idea of putting sunbeds on a naturist beach and reserving them for textiles that I object to.
