Thought I would contribute to this section too, in case anyone ends up in East Germany!

Went here with some friends to a campsite on the eastern part of the town. All of the cost is covered in wonderful sand, with beach huts selling ice cream/beer/sausages every KM or so. The huts are open til late and sell pretty good cocktails and the people are very friendly! One guy bought me and a friend a bottle of beer and the two girls we were with a mini bottle of champagne, and a selection of sausages to try, just for visiting his town! Turns out he was an HGV driver and spent a lot of time in the UK.

There are FKK sections along the beach but there were plenty of naturists in the textile section too, nobody seems to mind. The naturist section of the beach is at the quieter end and the best thing about that is you can strip off and walk for miles along the coast. Beautiful. I will be back.
