Seeing as I had the afternoon free and the sun was shining I decided to revisit the walk I did earlier in the year when it was a bit cooler than lately (see the foggy day in the gallery) as its a great place to be whatever the weather.

Parking up and walking away from the road I took off my tshirt and tucked it into my shorts already enjoying the feeling of the warm sun on my back and the breeze on my body.

As it was early afternoon on a sunny day there is always that risk of people being around, more so than the foggy days visit or perhaps early morning or late evening. Still the beautiful day tempted me to take the chance and get out in the countryside.

Walking up through the woods the smell of early summer filled my senses and with the hum of insects adding to the natural murmur it is, as always a peaceful place.

Reaching the wall at the top of the woods I "parked" my clothes after a quick scout around showed no sign of anyone even on such a lovely day (They don't know what they're missing - but I'm glad they don't!)

Looking out over the wall today, the field in marked contrast to the foggy day when I was last there was awash with colour, full of wild grasses, flowering in the sunshine

I strolled along the wall awhile feeing the sunshine and loving the feeling of freedom and sense of calm happiness.

Turning away from the field of joy I wandered slowly through the woodland, as always aware of the difference in atmosphere within the shade of the trees. The sun still reaches through the cover to provide bright spots and with lots of grass growing alongside the path in places it is a wonderful place to be naked and at one with nature.

a little while later I reached the end of the path, where it opens out onto moorland.

Deciding to venture on I turned left along the perimeter of the woodland and followed the wall around and along side the heather strewn open land.

The earth is quite damp underfoot and the cool peat soil on my feet was a refreshing difference from the dry fir needle carpet of the woodland.

I wanted to do a full circuit of the woodland at this point, but the path that would return me to my starting point follows the outside of the woodland and is in full view of a road below. Not much traffic, but not a risk I was prepared to take.

So instead I stopped at a stone wall where the land crests a rise before dropping downward. From there I was out of sight of the road, but still out in the open and a good way from where I started.

Reluctant to turn back, I stood and took in the clear view available to me today and marvelled at the freedom of spirit I felt and the clear thoughts running through my head.

Feeling happy and relaxed I walked slowly back the way I had come. before reaching my start point and my clothes hidden under a Billberry bush.

A lovely relaxing and fulfilling experience.
I carried my clothes back towards my car as far as I dare and within sight of the road I reluctantly dressed and walked the final 100yds marvelling again at how walking naked lifts my soul and takes away all my worries of my daily life.

The BEST way to spend a couple of hours that I can imagine

Mark - you make me very jealous - yesterday I got on my bike and cycled into the countryside - miles from anywhere and off the path. Decided to try a bit of sunbathing. Two minutes later a cyclist went by then followed by a runner. Gave up and cycled home dejected.

Sorry Titch... Yes, I'm privileged to lie near some wonderful countryside and there are places fairly local that very few people seem to visit. There are boot prints and bicycle tracks around. so eople do go there, but its not a well known spot I guess. Luckily for me. As always there is a risk of meeting someone and I rarely carry anything with me as I love to be properly nude, by which I mean to carry nothing with me (except my compact digi cam in this case, but that fits in the palm of my hand and I like to record my walks for myself). That means I cannot "cover up" if needed. not sure how I would handle actually bumping inot someone, but faced with it I guess I would have to brave it out with a smile and little else! lol

I haven't been to France for a couple of years, but it seams to me nudity is far more accepted there than in the UK.

Perhaps you could visit organised naturist events or locations? Maybe a swim local to you. I know its not the same as being out in the countryside (which I love), but its something I would do if I was restricted in my naturist activities
