I've read an article on the BBC News app about how the Queen and other members of the Royal Family loved Holkham beach, for walking the corgis etc, largely because it's such a large expanse they could remain anonymous. The article didn't mention the naturist part of the beach.
Is anyone on here aware of having been seen nude by any royals?
Have enjoyed Holkham a few times.I am unaware of any Royalty enjoying the beach on those occasions. 🙂

The Queen Mother did at least once. She waved at the naturists and they waved back, one nude lady attempted a curtsey amusingly.
Diana's bodyguard Ken Wharfe has recounted how she went off for a walk on Studland equipped with a shortwave radio and within an hour she called him stating giggling that she was with the naturists.
Diana did sunbathe nude or at least topless on the rooftop of Kensington Palace until it was pointed out to her sadly that she could be seen from other buildings. She did swim nude in the Buckingham Palace pool in the early years with Princess Margaret according to a book published in 1984. The Royals have seen plenty of nudity in overseas dances so it is not going to faze them. Our now Princess of Wales sunbathed topless in France.

There is a story regarding the Queen Mother by Lady Glenconnor when the two of them were out walking along the great expanse of Holkham beach when they came upon a gentleman in his naturist state! Lady G tells the story of her panic when they came upon said gentleman but the QM took it all in her stride being completely unfazed and allegedly accepted the gentleman’s bow and short polite conversation before they all continued along their separate ways. This was in her autobiography in which she held nothing back, but she is a great racconteur Lady Glenconnor!
