Does anyone know if you can go for the day or is camping required? Do you need to be a member of BN? Are new day visitors welcome?
Hope to meet couples Yorks/Lincs.
I think the answer is yes. See here for details. You can follow links for more details.
It's marginally cheaper for BN members

Have my booking bumph through, and it says that there is a sauna?! There was no mention of it on the website. Anybody who's been, what's it like, ie, is it infrared or a stove?

I remember it being very small and a bit Heath Robinson type.

tried to set up a meet and greet there and was told very firmly that is was campers only and no day visitors... has this changed?

It might be better to take a tent and pay for a pitch as normal. Arrange to meet people there and then if you want to you could leave in the early evening.

Thanks sunny2014, Heath Robinson is the word, or rather two, it was minute size for two! But we liked it. Very efficient, not an infared, had a nice Sunday morning in there while it was rainy.
So...our first camping weekend. I picked Candy Farm because of Nudestock on with the Irish band, and thinking it wasn't far to go to make the most of the time we had. Anyway, the Saturday weather as well as Sunday evening was very good luckily and we enjoyed some good naked time outside all afternoon, either taking part in some It's a Knockout games or just relaxing outside the tent with a drink and another...drink while cooking dinner on a beautiful evening and why not. No, the site isn't the last word in luxury or even the first to be honest, but if you go with a relaxed frame of mind and roll with it, you will feel very welcome and have a good time. Showers are 25p in an honesty box, in a kind of (slightly draughty)! lean to near the sauna which if you arrange with Colin, he'll show you where to plug it in an hour beforehand to use at a charge. And we had an enjoyable couple of hours in the hot tub on the Sunday afternoon as the weather improved, and it is a very good quality tub. Added to that the entertainment, with the band doing 3 hours!, electric violinist Alexandra on the Sunday, odd quizzes (very odd ;D) and a bit of bingo and it was a really nice couple of days away with some sun as a bonus. But even without all that if you just went the rest of the time on a ordinary weekender in good weather with a couple of books, you have a lovely view with the only sound being of birdsong, and you will have a chilled out time with not much in the way of rules and regs aside from common sense ones.
So what did I find out personally on camping? Well, seeing as the tent was a £30 one from Lidl and yes, there's really only room for the bed in there and not much else, though it does have a very useful 'porch,' it did the job very well and stood up cheerfully to the rain on Sunday and was cosy. I did discover that I am really a fair weather camper and I wouldn't be interested in going just for the sake of it, (I am not an obsessive in this) or to a non naturist site, but if the weather was good and on a naturist site, it's a nice thing to do as long as it's possible and warm enough to cook and eat outside. We did take too much in food but that is probably a common failing. Other than that, we coped with it all without doing either a dramatic Captain Oates exit or throwing tent pegs.

Although Nudestock is held at Candy Farm, it is actually a BN event and is subject to BN juristiction. In order to comply with the demands of BN's insurance, it is necessary to limit it to those who have booked in advance. Since the idea of a "Meet and Greet" is to meet casual visitors and the curious, the two concepts are incompatible, hence the restrictioins.
I know that this year has seen more checks of ID than previously, All day visitors need to be members of BN or INF or be able to show membership of naturist clubs to comply with the rules.

the only sound being of birdsong
there are times when this is true. On the last two occasions I have been at Nudestock I have heard sounds from the air that were quite different.
Last year I heard the sound of a pair of swans flying over the green store. this year, last Friday to be exact, there was the roar of the Vulcan taking off from Robin Hood Airport. Bearing in mind that the northern end of the runway is at least 2.5 miles away, it must have been deafening at the airport. The plane took off and I suppose it was visible when it was 200 feet or so in the air.
Later in the afternoon it returned and did three circuits before landing; the last of these was turning over the farm. i would imagine the instructions were to "fly northwards and turn left when you see the flesh". It was a magnificent sight!
(That's the Vulcan, not the naturists!)

Oops Andy, Robin Hood airport slipped my mind. We did see a few jets over the weekend, but not a Vulcan (so far as I'm aware).

Great write up - intreagued at just how odd the quiz was! It sounds a good "back to nature" event which in this day and age is no bad thing. I was almost tempted to go but the forecast and 2.5hrs drive put me off - I think if I ever do the tenting thing I'll be like you - fair weather!

Odd........kidding a bit! Colin will vouch that we did the Kate Winslet and Leo bit in third class to the band.
A bit more detail on the site. A tidy, well drained, well kept field and as said, lovely views with an sky the size of one in Oklahoma. Setting sun is beautiful. The loos are proper ones! 4 of them dotted around the perimeter. The washing up facilities are out of doors so just a thing to bear in mind for people in tents who are not as self sufficient as those in caravans. The round pool was an above grounder, but not in use on this occasion (would have been parky). There isn't an all singing all dancing heated toilet/shower block so be prepared. Would go again to chill out on a good weather scenario. It helps that it is less than an hour and a half drive for us. It's a very relaxed place and great to unwind in.

There were thousands of.....blades of grass, so that's a start. And I suppose a couple from Lancashire is near enough as being from across Europe.
If it's that easy to write this stuff, why haven't I a job at a tabloid?
