The difference is that textile sites are not promoted as 'clothing optional.' lt would be your own choice and risk to do it behind your windbreak or whatever.

If a site is promoted as naturist then I would expect people to be naked in decent weather. If clothing optional then I expect the majority to be so. With comparatively few naturist sites I would wonder why somebody would choose to remain clothed if we are not talking about a reluctant spouse.

I was naked for about an hour at the textile site I was staying at during the weekend just gone, between my tent and the windbreak I put up. My pitch was beside the warden's mobile home. Nothing was said to me about being naked so they were probably blissfully unaware.

Smooth again, stayed hairy for as long as I could.

Do I detect a difference in attitudes between the Camping & Caravanning Club and what is now the Caravan and Motorhome Club? The latter never took tents, I believe, but I don't know whether that tells us much about how uptight or relaxed they might be?

I know it is not necessarily a legit campsite but many who use Glyn's field near to Morfa Dyffryn set up windbreaks as their own little nude area

In our trailer-tent camping days we regularly managed to site ourselves on textile sites suitably for nudity. usually allowing for cooking and dining naked in the sunshine as well as sunbathing.

We never had any problems, even with walking to and from the showers clad only in a towel, although I was admonished by my wife at a riverside site where the sanitary unit was on stilts above the flood level and approached by an open tread staircase. Apparently my smallish towel left my genitals on total display.
