Has anyone ever gone out for a naked walk, only to bottle it at the last minute? I went out the other Morning and for what ever reason just couldn't take off the shorts. Anyone had any similar experiences? 

@bn252525 I havent "bottled it" but i have followed my instinct many times. You did the right thing, when your body warns you , follow it.

@hillwalker I'm thinking at going Tomorrow but the crack of dawn to avoid any family's walking. What time do you usually try to head out for? 

@bn252525 i am usually on the hills by 6:45 and i am there until 11:00ish.  I go at that time just because it fits in with my work (i start at 1:30). I am probably in a privileged position because of the geography. There are very few families that tackle hills.

Got up at 2 am this morning as i was so hot i went for a naked walk to cool off bliss 

Had a beautiful first walk of the year out in Derbyshire. Went out at 7am and only saw one other person. Ended up doing around 4 miles up in the Hills, saw some amazing views and can't wait to go again! 😊

Just before I got out of the car this morning i listened to a programme on radio scotland about a tsunami that hit the east coast of scotland some 8,000 years ago. The wave would be around 20 feet high and it travelled some 20 miles inland. I was standing on top of a hill where a bronze age fort once stood and looked down towards the Tay and wondered what the inhabitants, if there had of been any , would have seen.

Bronze Age people would not have seen a tsunami that occurred 8000 years ago. That would have been in the Mesolithic/end of the Upper Palaeolithic.

I know. Once i had posted it i could see that it was confusing. I was on a hill where there was a bronze age fort and thought what if there were people earlier than that by three or four thousand years in the same location (settlements tend to be resettled) that saw the tsunami. Apologies for the clumsy language

Not at all - my apologies for the pedantry - I can't help it you know! 🙂 Also, being an archaeologist (albeit retired) I tend to worry about these things.
