Its a pity he hasn't anything better to do.
Has the County Council actually done anything to promote nudity there?
It seems an odd thing for them to be doing.
JOhn
Do not do unto others as you would that they should do unto you. Their tastes may not be the same.
George Bernard Shaw, Maxims for Revolutionaries
Upon witnessing a man masturbating on the reserve I hope they informed the police and didn't just start a petition that blames other people.
After reading it again. Who calls it Budby moor?
Who calls it the old red road.Â
No one I know. Is it even true?Â
Why do these people assume that because you are naturist you go off in to the forest to masterbate? This pervert is just that, simple. Not a naturist.
Why do they also misquote the law?
And why do they say recently? I have been walking there for 10 years or more and Gildo and others, many more.
I wish people would get their facts in order if going to criticise.
And the final statement. You don't need to be naked to enjoy the forest. Well neither do you need to be clothed IMO.
Yesterday he had 21 signatures and today he has… 21 signatures. It seems he has run out of accomplices who will sign the petition. How long will change.org leave a petition up that is not gaining new signatures?
J & C from Massachusetts
Surely theres at least 21 people on here who can find the "report this petition" button at the bottom?Â
"mis-representing the law" is the phrase you want 🙂
Go naked today
We shall just have to complain about the cyclists riding through the forest.
As far as I'm aware neither Notts County Council or the RSPB or the other stakeholders in Sherwood Forest do anything to promote naturism. The RSPB policy and their signage is that naturism is "tolerated". There's a huge difference between promoting something and tolerating it, which, to me, carries the sub-text 'grudgingly.'
Imagine what the reaction would be if the RSPB announced on their website and signage they tolerated Hinduism/ disabilities/transgenderism/OAPs/obesity etc. on their land. I envisage a very swift change of policy in the face of fierce criticism. Would our petitioner be so keen to object to their policy in such circumstances?
Cyclists are just as entitled to cycle through the forest as naturists are to walk (or cycle) through it.
I know that but the cyclist would not like it if the complaint was against cyclists.
Besides the point a bit, but I'm a cyclist and can tell you we do not have a right to cycle on any footpath we like and landowners can stop us from doing it.
In any case, it's dogs off leads, especially in breeding season that needs cracking down on at Sherwood.
And that's what's really going on here, different user groups with different priorities. Fortunately not every single one of them is petty enough to create a petition to ban the others.
Doesn't seem to be getting very far anyway. I'd largely try not to think about itÂ
Cyclists are just as entitled to cycle through the forest as naturists are to walk (or cycle) through it.
Actually cycling is prohibited on the common. Doesn't stop em tho.
