I spent Thursday afternoon at Studland, it was the busiest I’ve ever seen it.

Off to Swanage on Monday and the weather next week is going to be very favourable! So quality time at Studland is now definitely on the cards, as is the Coastal Path walk.

May I say thank you to all the very helpful information received!

Note that the Lulworth ranges (a bit west of Swanage) are only open to the public some days a week - I think maybe Sat/Sun.  So if you want to explore those areas, including that bit of coastal path, then plan accordingly.

It's a stunning area.  Most jealous given the week we have coming for weather.  Have a great trip.

Had a really lovely day at Studland today! Beach well attended but not too busy, water warm and light breeze!

Got off at Jerry’s Point Bus Stop (a.k.a. FRP6) and walked the path that goes straight to the middle of the naturist zone. After a lovely swim just walked along the zone and back to air dry!

Great bus service (50 Bus), great weather and great beach! Even my wife, who is a textile, really enjoyed herself!

😎😎😎

@thundercity I did notice a lot of Meerkat activity on the dunes ridge but my wife and I found it very funny to watch as well as being absolutely unnecessary! I was not prepared to let it spoil our day so we turned it into an amusing game. I feel these attendees will be the ones who will mess it up for the rest of us!

Went again today and the beach was almost deserted so plenty of space to spread out and enjoyed another great day doing what comes naturally! Water was so warm and very enjoyable too!

@marshalldrw Meerkats is one thing, but meerkats with binoculars is disturbing, as was the bloke who stopped to talk to us expressing his dismay at my wife choosing to keep her legs crossed after he interrupted our peaceful solitude.

'A real shame' opined the dodgy biker from Ringwood, twice, who should have got the message and not assumed everyone is there for his entertainment.

TBF I shouldn't tar them all with the same brush cos apart from one or two others overt attempts at prolonged eye contact, ignoring my wife's presence all together, they were mostly respectful.

@thundercity fortunately I didn’t encounter anything like this and really do think it’s a shame it spoiled your’s and your wife’s visit! I have seen a guy with his phone upside down to make out it’s not being used but knowing full well he’s trying to covertly film!

My wife and I came from the bus stop at Jerry’s Point and when we got to the naturist section turned left towards the Shell Beach marker board, where there are a lot fewer naturists resulting in a lot less meerkats and unwanted attention because they really stand out!

I hope you both have a better experience either next time or somewhere else!

All the very best to you both!

Yeah, it's this kind of stuff that means my partner vetoes any trip to Studland but will go naked on quiet beaches we share with textiles and have an untroubled time. We've literally never been to Studland and not seen poor behaviour from weird men.

@thundercity perhaps being so far north May I recommend Holkham beach on the North Norfolk coast. Same beautiful beach with soft sand and not many people on it but make sure you head to the left when you come through the pine trees! I would label it the Studland of middle England but without the meerkats as they have to pay parking! My second best beach to Studland!

With a misdiagnosed weather report today Studland Naturist Beach was almost deserted and was a joy to enjoy!

Checking out from Swanage and heading home via Studland for the final time and weather is perfect this morning for a final skinny dip and walk to dry off. Had a lovely time at the beach so far water so warm! 😎
