Hi all im very keen on doing a naked walk / ramble and would dearly love to have my wife with me but this is where it falls down as she is an amputee of the lower left leg but can only walk short distances so in order for a longer walk she would need her mobility scooter so im looking for one that would be suitable enough for one.

If you live near enough you could use the perimeter track and many parts of Budby South Forest Nottinghamshire. You could easily do 6 miles or more on a mobility scooter.

I need to get out to Tillbrook (nr Kimbolten) again as I think that's probably the most promising in your area that I know of.  There are a lot of byways around there and towards Swineshead wood.  Could be busy at some times of day, but it ought to be perfect for mobility scooters.   Would need to do a recce again sometime (you're welcome to join of course).

I've done a map of the route I took from Tillbrook.  I noted spots where it gets a little bit rough (red explosion effect), dips and the like, and the two nearest Upper Dean are kissing gates (but you can just walk along the track further and around the corner as it simply cuts across a paddock with kissing gates in and out of it).  I doubt the farmer would complain.

There is a totally hassle free route marked in blue from Swineshead to Tillbrook and back again along the same track if you wish to do that.  It'd be close to 5 mile.  It could be extended with a look into the woods or some of the other tracks.  These are all byways, so no obstructions (in summer at least).

Given I did them on a Saturday afternoon and only saw a pair of cyclists I think despite their wide nature it's pretty safe.

I think this is probably reasonable close to you Mark, Tracey.  No idea where is best to park really.  I plonked myself on a verge.  Happy to meet up sometime for a walk again if you wish Mark.
