This is the south-west bit of Thetford Forest, North and North-West of Eleveden Centre Parcs.

To be honest I'm not sure if this is permissive access or private.   Certainly Ordnance Survey "GetOutside" site lists it, but I think it's outside the main forestry commission area.  I didn't see any signage so I'm assuming it's public, but equally so I saw no one apart from the bit where I joined a main bridleway.  I managed an 8.8 mile loop with 6.4 naked.  I could have managed more, but it took a while to get a feel for how busy it would be (and I'll admit to pluck up courage).  Mostly wide open rides, which means less chance than picking up ticks from walking through bracken.

Plus a bonus of finding another trig point.  I have a soft spot for these!

Wanhford Woods reminds me - spoof Country singer Hank Wangford (a.k.a. Dr Sam Hutt) was president of the Nude Mountaineering Society back in the day, and he had a great band.

Looks like you were between Lakenheath and Brandon, Maybe in the far reaches of Brandon Country Park. But as you know 90% of people dont walk further than 10 minutes from the car park. I have been out on my bike that way a while back and only saw workers near the gravel roads, only the odd mountain biker, on the return journey.

I'm not 100% sure - but my understanding is any Forestry Commission Wood is public access unless otherwise stated (logging, shooting etc) i.e. the Forestry Commision is a government (public) organisation, rather than a private one. I've walked at lot of FC woods naked especially the ones that have almost zero parking areas - less likely to have many people walking / cycling them.

Agreed.  I just wasn't sure if it was all Forestry Commission as at least part of it had a sign about the Elvedon Estates.  However there was minimal signage elsewhere, so I assume even if it's not all FC owned, they don't have an issue.  Otherwise they're doing a terrible job of telling people!
